Small Bore/Field Pistol Match Report

COMMENTS
Bonnie VanDusen’s birthday was this week, and hubby Jason wanted to give her a day at the range as a present; so, they attended our match today. Bonnie shot Unlimited Standing first with a very nice score of 12. Jason followed with an 11 giving Bonnie bragging rights. Next, they tried Small Bore Rifle. Bonnie fired an 18, but Jason took the win this time with a 22. All in all, they had a great time and promised to return. It was a win/win for everyone.
On the Field Pistol side of things, Dave Whitman took the Production title shooting his Standard Handgun Mataba. He and Leo Aregian tied, but Dave was the winner by reverse animal count. Charlie Dean came out of AAA class with a nice 32 to beat the International class shooters in Production Any Sight. It’s always fun when a AAA shooter whips up on the International shooters!
Dave Whitman was our Unlimited Any Sight One-Fifth Scale champion missing only one target. But, Rich Redd was right behind him and is shooting much better scores.
Mike Abel took both Half Scale titles and earned another entry into the Half Scale aggregate program with an aggregate score of 79 missing only one ram out of 80 targets.
Don Ritz was our Small Bore Production and Revolver and Unlimited Any Sight champion. Don’s perfect score in Unlimited Any Sight also earned him the title of High Senior. John Fouts was our Standing champion, and wife Maggie took High Lady. Paul Hoadley was our Unlimited Standing champion for the day.
In the personal accomplishments column, Ron Sprafkin earned a leg into AAA class in Unlimited Any Sight, and Oliver Gudmundson earned a leg into B Class in Unlimited. Please be sure to mark your classification cards guys.
