Great time @ the WCC

Well I made it home from the WCC after a second week of vacationing with my wife
There is no words do describe the fun I had shooting @ the WCC.
When I first started thinking about going being some what a new shooter it was intimidating
thinking that I would not only be on the line with some of the best shooters in the world but also
a few of the legends of the game. But that fear was quickly put to rest by a PM from a member on Specilaty Pistols
and a local of the WCC 40XMike. Mike answer a million question I had and not only made me feel
welcome but relaxed. And upon arriving His Family made me and my wife feel very much at home.
Mike and his Son Tyler(SkynetZero) are not only top notch shooters but a couple of top notch people!
(got to watch father and son go toe to toe in the shoot offs also)
And we enjoy the time spent with them and all the shooting tips and points that they shared.
The 1st. Night there after one of the great meals I was treated to a 2 hr. 3 way conversation with
Joe Cullison and Joe Frey Me being a standing Shooter wont-to-be I was all ears and they shared a lot
of great advice . These two ended up not only in a Shoot off for BB standing but BB Unlimited standing as well.
Joe Frey and my wife both being school teachers hit it off right from the start.
Richard Redd (another top notch shooter and person)a flop shooter from Tx. Also gave me a lot of good advice .
And the list can go on and on with the friends I made.
The point I'm trying to make is this is a great shoot for the beginner as well as the seasoned pro!
And IF you enjoy this game you need to put it high on your Bucket list not only for the shooting but for the FOOD
and great people
Oh and it seams like there one general force behind this great shoot a Man that goes by 19 Turkeys
Steve Ware does a great job of make this boat float and he did a great job of making sure me and my
wife had a great time.
And a special thinks to who ever that had in the woods shooting my Targets cause there is not way I hit all those on my own.

glad to have met you at the WCC (I was the one wearing the NRA life member hat). nice to put a face to people I have met on this forum.

it was a lot of these people who helped me climb to an INT class shooter. I learned a lot from them over the years.

and if it wasn't for Steve W. for running the championship over the years...

and now, to Rib steve:

so we are shooting for 15 days next year? :D

I think you meant June 17-21 2014 for next years dates ;)

Hi Dan,

Yes, I dropped the 1. I doubt Bret could brew enough beer for a 15 day match! :)) :-t

I certainly share all of Richard's sentiments of the WCC. This year was my first trip there too (from Colorado), and I will definitely be back! Now if Richard can find some extra football tickets for the Alabama/Colorado State game, I'll have my next big trip planned!
