The Time Is Now!

People, now is the time to contact your senators. Even if they are liberal, gun control supporting Democrats, you must contact them. The destruction of your Second Amendment rights is being debated right now in the halls of the Senate.
Below is the message I sent my two Senators. Feel free to copy/paste and send to yours as I would like to be among friends when they send me to some gulag.
I am writing you to implore that you do not support or vote for the Public Safety and Second Amendment Rights Protection Act, Senate Bill 649.
This bill is seriously flawed on many levels. I will give you but two.
First, any person who fails to notify local law enforcement agencies AND the Attorney General of the theft of a firearm within 24 hours of learning of the theft is guilty of a Federal crime and subject to a fine and up to five years in prison. Thus, the victim of a crime is now a criminal. This is under Section 123, Lost and Stolen Reporting.
Second, this bill does not preclude the implementation of a Federal firearm registry. The bill only prohibits the Attorney General from consolidating or centralizing the records of a person with a valid, current license; an unlicensed transferor under section 922(t); or possession or ownership of a firearm, maintained by any medical or health insurance entity. It does not preclude any other Federal agency (BATFE, FBI, Department of Homeland Security, etc) from creating a national registry.
