Long-time Louisiana IHMSA shooter Al Chauvin of Houma, LA passed away in his sleep Wednesday night. Mr.Al was a WW II veteran, and a Purple Heart receipient on D-Day. He carried the effects of his wounds for the rest of his life, but this did not hinder his shooting. I have missed his presence over the past several years - he was a good person to be around. RIP, my old friend, and thank you for your service to our country --- and your friendship ! ---------- Philip Braud

Phillip, I never met Al, but to have you as a friend is in deed high praise; thank you for remembering him and sharing part of his story with the rest of us.
