I can't speak for every location in the country, but combining with the NRA would have absolutely no effect at all since there are no NRA silhouette matches or shooters anywhere near our range. None in our state that I know of. And there is near zero interest from new shooters. As I stated earlier in this discussion, I feel it is a cultural change we are fighting.Justin Cider wrote:Why not combine with the NRA? Seem to be about the same shooting formats for silhouette matches.
All the currently popular handgun shooting sports involve scenarios and high volumes of fire at close quarters. That's not what we offer......and I don't suggest we should. I've tried just about everything I can think of to promote our sport locally here without any real success.
I don't have the answer.....but in my opinion, the NRA is not it.
