It will be interesting to see what the factory trigger will be like. Stock Contenders, like most mass produced guns (read "lawyer pull"), had lousy triggers. But, thankfully, they respond extremely well to a good trigger job. Unlike guns such as the BF, the trigger does not act directly on the hammer as I'm sure all TC owners know by now. That little flipper link makes all the difference. Plus, most of the Contender was made from investment cast parts. The SSK is allegedly all machined which will be a huge improvement on form, fit and function.

these will depend where you it. Haus of arms stocks TC, MGM and SSK barrels of your choice.

S&W screwed up the triggers on the G2 and Encore so badly that I know this will affect the market.

I spoke with Dell just a few hours ago. We had a long chat about a few things that were brought up and one of the items was the new SSK-50. And yes, they will be production legal. There will be no reinvent the wheel case here for all that has already been done. It is a remake of the original frame and the internal parts will also fit the original frames so it will be under the heading as after market barrels and sights. So this will set the picture right.

I went to SSK website to order new SSK-50 frame but there is no way to pre-order on their website. I then went to HausofArms website and was able to place an order for the SSK-50 frame. The price on the SSK website was listed as $288 but on HausofArms it was listed as $275. I really didn't care about the price difference since I just wanted to get an order placed and get in line for the new frame. I think I read the frames may be available in mid-December but I suspect if there is a large volume of orders I may have to wait into next year to get my frame. At least my order has been placed!!!!!

Last date I saw was mid January. Most likely it will be later than that. I get the feeling the response has been rather overwhelming.
