Re: What confuses you in the rules?
If PH guns are considered the same as UAS then we need to drop the 6X restrictions on scopes. Many of our local UAS shooters use Leupold 2.5-8X scopes set on 8X (me too). This type of nit-picking is what is confusing especially in PH. People who use handguns to hunt with are not looking for limitations. They are looking for all the advantages they can use to make their handguns more accurate and easier to use while hunting. I think was bothers me the most is to call the category Practical Hunter then tell hunters their guns they have set up to hunt with don't match our rules. Maybe it is our rules don't match what practical hunters are really using in the field. We are almost as confusing as the Federal Government.

Re: What confuses you in the rules?
ok, just a little item I am going to pass on concerning practical hunter.
with the 21" length rule, 14" contender barrels meet the requirements.
A ported barrel is legal under the practical hunter rules, but is not allowed under the normal production and revolver rules.
just passing on.

Dan what about adding PH with UAS? This would eliminate a lot of confusion.nutcase wrote: Thu Apr 30, 2020 1:22 pm ok, just a little item I am going to pass on concerning practical hunter.

Now you confused me.. so if I read this right, wouldn't that eliminate the PH categories?JACKIE40X40 wrote: Thu Apr 30, 2020 1:59 pmDan what about adding PH with UAS? I think we need to keep the 6X scope limitation.260 Striker wrote: Thu Apr 30, 2020 5:24 pm Jackie, You almost have it. Change 2 to read "Optics are allowed".
