Dave was a interesting person and that is something I like about him. He like going across the grain and trying new ideals and another plus in my book
I got to share a cabin with Dave a few years back at the Ga. state had some great talks and he share some of the things Rp talked about . Dave was always there when someone need help.
The line is going to be a little quitter now with out Dave and the 30br with the jp brake

I enjoyed talking to (more listening to!) Dave and liked to watch him shoot Field Pistol. His stance reminded me of old school High Power shooters with m1/m14s somehow- one high elbow with upper arm parallel or above to the deck and the other fairly vertical. Only guy I know that used a .25-20 regularly. B-)

I was stunned when Sheri sent me the text .. I had no idea he was that ill. All I could think of was " OMG I haven't paid him for the XP-100"
He was always a help for Amy and I .. I will miss him ..

I was introduced to Dave at the 2015 Southeastern IHMSA Open Championship. We found him to be a very entertaining person with a great family. I'm thankful I had the chance to meet and talk with him for that brief period. Prayers to Dave's family, he will be missed by many.

Dave just let kdiver58 have the .25BR XP100 with expectations of payment at the next match. :-bd Davey Chaney generosity and faith in a new IHMSA member.

Meanwhile, kdiver58 sent me this link to what looks like Dave's own obit.:

Dave was generous to a fault. When I first met him at the second ECC I found a stool on the firing line. Because of my back problems it was comfortable. I asked whose it was so I could buy one. He said since you like it and it fits you so well you can have it. It now will be honored in my reloading room. I sit on it to cast boolits.

Good turnout at Dave's remembrance event at Rocco's. The IHMSA bunch had three long tables in a line. Plenty of other folk as well.
