if this is the Buccaneer gun club near Leland, NC (wilmington) ... Headquarters has not received a Match schedule from them both in 2014 and 2015! If the state director approved the match schedule, but did not forward to headquarters, the championship is sanctioned.

and: if they did not submit their match schedule, the championship is classified as an unsanctioned match.

Also, I have never received a match report from this club. ~x(

Please Bug them while you are there and tell them to do their paperwork!

NOTE: they still have 2 weeks to get me or cindy the info to get fully sanctioned All I need is approval by the state or regional director.

EDIT: I just looked and we have not received a match schedule from them since 2012!

Just curious about this match since reading Dan's comments. Is this the 2015 Southeastern IHMSA Open Championship match at Buccaneer Gun Club as advertised in the May IHMSA News or is this a separate Region II match? If we are talking the same match, I'm guessing it was sanctioned since it was published in the paper. Either way it sounds like a great match.

I am not sure either. That match ad I was told to print it. the problem though is the club may have submitted their paperwork, but may have never been forwarded by the state director.

as the rules state, if a State director, region director or anybody from the board of directors approves the schedule, it is sanctioned unless they are in arrears on their sanction fees over 60 days.

Since I looked and it was the same match director in 2012, I am assuming he has been sending in his match schedule and is not being forwarded to HQ by the state director.

North Carolina has not shown a match schedule from any club since 2012.

My this has become a bit complicated. We will attend sanctioned or not. A regional match is not easy to host and we are thankful for their commitment. Possible post on range ramblings may help attendance in an effort to get more entries. Seems like everyone gravitates to that part of the forum.
Thanks Daniel for the update.

Is there a reason some clubs don't submit their match schedules?

My wife has strarted to try and plan a vacation near a range. I printed out the match schedule and she started looking at ranges and attractions around those ranges. Since NC wasn't on the schedule she had no way of knowing to check the area. I'm not saying we would have been able to make this shoot if it was listed but it at least could have been an option.

i just found an email address for the match director and sent him an email. Hopefully we will get this straightened out!

this is getting as bad as my area. I have 2 clubs willing to host matches, BUT nobody wants to run the matches!

Hopefully this will be corrected shortly
Yes, this is the Region 2 Match (2015 Southeastern IHMSA Open Championship)
I have spoken with the Region 2 Director and will speak with the Match Director.
Bottom line is; we plan to shoot; hopefully sanctioned, but if necessary non-sanctioned and all the paperwork, which I understand is necessary, will be corrected later.

the match director got hold of me and said they did not send in a match schedule, But they have been paying their sanction fees #:-s

if the region II director or their state director is willing to Say that they are sanctioned, that should be enough to officially make the match sanctioned and eligible for any special awards (such as the president's awards, Etc). We will worry about the paperwork later ;) ;)
