That is a hard thing to do, when you reload for over 40 calibers.

Absolute favorite for ANY BR case is SR-4759. H-110/W-296 for magnum pistol cases. After that, it gets harder to narrow down. BLC-2 is a great one for many, as is H-4895. REL-7 for the smaller cases, along with AA-1680. AA-2015 is a versatile powder I use a lot of.

Alvin is correct...you could tell by my powders, I'm an old reloader. There hasn't been anything "new" on my bench since AA-9 came out. Just don't have the time to try anything new and rework up all my loads. Once I get what I need, I will leave them alone.

Dean, it was you I was thinking of that originally got me thinking about this. It seems like every time someone wants load info you suggest 4759. In fact I would wager that if Marlyn was making some chili & wanted to know what you thought it was missing you would offer up some 4759 8-}

For the bottleneck cartridges I've used mostly H4895 & AA2015 and in the past some RL7. I tried some AA5744 but it burns far too dirty for me. The exception here is 22 Hornet which gets some AA9. Revolvers have been fed 296 and some 2400. I tried some AA5744 but it burns far too dirty for me. When you get to rifle reloading, my powder choices are far too many to list.

Nice thread. I used 296 for a while, then 2400, then went to AA#9. I still keep some 2400 around. I am shooting about 97% cast, so I use a lot of SR4759. I do wish it measured better. Throw it and go with this powder is out as I have had bridging issues. I just use my old B&M and plug along and am very happy with the outcome.
As to H322, I never found it to be as great and wonderful as I was lead to believe. H335 however has given me outstanding results. I know lil gun has drawn a fair bit of flack from the revolver shooters, but is exceptionall good in my TC barrels with wheel gun type chamberings. FYI, no issues with it as in the wheel guns.
