Dan I’m not coming to be a burden to anyone or interfere with their job at hand. :ympeace:
BUT any time you’re setting around bored stuff feel free to assist me in anyway you feel :-c
Warning I’m not one of those guys all you say is center punch after every shot. Most of the time when someone spot me it’s more of ant got a clue where you hit or are you sure you shot at the right bank ~x( %-(
As far as the 80 right but the 80 I’m talking about is I did get all 80 rounds fire in the allotted time and
All were shot at MY targets in the correct order :ympray:
I may get you to sign a form releasing me of any mental anguish I put you though @-)
There again you have the right handle for the job “nut case” ~x(

Day 2 gun
UAS FS am SB UAS pm
I never liked shooting scopes :ymsmug: usually shoot U guns in UAS but have somewhat give in to the fact that like most the eyes are leaving so this year I now have a scoped BB and scoped SB gun 8-|
This gun has a short but interesting story. I traded a 10” “Match” barrel for this 14” “Match “ barrel
Got the barrel on a Monday, I added a frame (my original frame I bought new in 79) and scope and sighted it in on Tuesday, Thursday
I shot my 1st. match with it @ the Ga. State. shot a 60x60 :ymparty: my 1st. ever perfect score 2 weeks later the Target turrets on the cheap Tasco stopped working and now it sports a Nikon 3x12 a/o . and switch to a newer frame. With that 60 I jumped up to "AAA+" and I think I'm "AA" in UAS FS

I made INT. in SB P(my only) and “AAA” SB S with this gun back in May of this year :-B
The plan is to use it for P,S and US @ the INT. starting with Standing day 3 morning

I have already been classified as Certifiable :D :D people still say I am crazy for shooting a 10" Wichita in 357SM for standing =))

based on what I see, me and my spotter should be done before 2pm each day.

and I just noticed I forgot to sign up for fifth scale :ymblushing:

Fifthscale with a revolver I'm impressed :))

b-( b-( yes that ran though my mind
I guess I will not know for sure if I got the times I put in for until I get there or do they send you something

Day 4 right now I’m clueless @-)
I have a SB am and BB pm
The SB am will ether Production or Unlimited standing depending on which I do on day 3 :-?
The BB pm more than likely will be ether BB standing or BB Unlimited /:)
The standing gun: 32-20 this barrel got hit hard by the powder/ bullets shortage :(( I’m just now getting something to feed it that it and me likes! The last time I shot this gun in a match was last year at the WCC. I got this barrel from 260 a couple years back at that time it sported a Ken Light Full rib with Bomar’s and Taco hood I used it for standing, Unlimited Standing, Production. I replaced the Rib with a Steve Marten set up Peep and post. And I think I sold/traded the Rib to nutcase to use on a standing gun? ~o)
The U gun 14” 300 whisper Contender with cast bullets the rear peep sight is mount on a scope base that I milled to accept it and the front is one front Steve Martens. This is the 1st. year for this set up
The cast bullets did real good with 2400 until I could not find any more. Like everyone else I’m having to use what I have in this Case
AA #9. It’s fun to shoot but it’s not completely dial in yet. So ether gun
is hit or miss right now. I hope to make the call before they said “load” :^o

actually, before fifth scale was sanctioned, I would shoot the Runts with my Revolver :ymdevil: I have actually only shot fifth scale 3 times with a U-gun

If you put an email address in your form, they will send your shooting times to you via email

Not too certifiable me thinks. I used a Ruger 357 Max for standing for a couple of years before I found a deal on my Whisper barrel and dies.

Getting closer, a week and a half before we start the long drive. Much to do. All of the loading for 15 guns is done and almost half of the guns have been cleaned and lubed.

Now off for morning practice. Need all I can get, Nutcase is darn tough in shoot-offs.

Be well and travel safe.

Joe

I did maybe I will hear something in a few days :-@
All of the loading for 15 guns is done and almost half of the guns have been cleaned and lubed.
15 Guns Joe what are you NOT shooting. That’s 1 more than another Joe I know ( I said another NOT the other Joe) :))

Day 5
All BB day for me with HS UAS in the am and BB UAS in the afternoon
Same gun for both Xp in 7 br. I bought this Gun here a few months back about the same time I got my latest granddaughter one is prettier now than when I got it and the other has always been pretty. :x One’s a little heavier now than when It arrived and the other is about the same weight. I hold one lose and the other tight. One grins when it toots the other make you grin when it toots. You guess, they’re both fun to play with. :o) :ymparty:
I bought this Xp from John Anderson so this will be visit back home for it and I sure in John’s hands has shot many 40 a@ okc. John told me it was his 1st. Unlimited gun and then did a brief stent as a US gun. The converted to rear grip sports a fluted Hart barrel with brake
When It arrived the stock had been damaged in shipping X( I made repairs and repainted and re scoped with a 2x7 Burris pistol scope. The 1st. match I had problems with this gun but they all were self-inflected, b-( L-) the brass was a little too tight for the chamber %-( and Rifle Basix trigger was a little too far forward for my liking plus I’m shooting a scope. That match I think I shot a 34 UAS and a 32 HS UAS. Next match ( I’ve only shot it in 2) I had the stock finished, :D the brass sized to chamber :ymsmug: and the trigger replaced with a Timney that is adjustable for pull length :ympeace: and switch the scope for a Burris 3x12 AO with target turrets pistol scope. The end results on my 61st. Birthday was my 1st. 40x40 \:D/ and I think 34 HS
Someday I hope to own 3 pretty Xp’s to match my 3 pretty grand daughters ;;)

Congrats on your first 40. They should start coming regularly now.

The guns that I don't shoot are BB - UAS, SB-UAS and the 1/5 scales. A little odd though. I don't shoot 1/5 scale because they are too small for me to see with the open sights, but then again I won't hardly use a scope in freestyle except for 1/2 scale. (have to for the agg)
Just not enough days to shoot everything without overstressing my eyes and my spotter. Bless her heart, our honeymoon was 2 years ago at OKC. She spent our honeymoon sitting in 100 degree heat for 7 days looking through a spotting scope. She rocks.
I'll also be bringing my 4" Smith for the Bordello fun entry.

Be well.

thanks technically it was my 1st. 40 but I shot a 60x60 SB UAS 2 weeks earlier at the Ga. SB for my 1st. perfect score. :D
the 40 I've got my sights set for is one in SB production now that would be cool B-)
I dislike shooting scopes and my near future plan is to us only in HS and FS like you said for the Agg. score which shooing for Agg. is
something that really starting to interest me more on that tomorrow. :-?
I really in joy shooting U FS I'm not any good but its still fun. :o)

Day 6
The shoot offs:
My days of fierce competition in anything ended a few years back. But being a Alabama fan
I love to watch others go nose to nose winner take all! And I can’t wait for the Friday shoot offs :-ss :-ss ^:)^
The ones @ the WCC last year were great father against son, Joe against the other Joe and some of the top guns of this game making unreal shots. And I expect no less @ the INT./world championship ~o)
But my most memorable Shoot off, I was in (been in 3 loss all) was back 3 years ago @ the regional II
BB in Jackson. Me and Stuart Aka "338 whisper#2" were shooting for the BB production “B” class title ( yes “B” class) =))
This shoot off went about 4 rounds I think mainly because neither was hitting squat 8-| but everybody there were cheering us on :ymapplause: like this WAS the world Championship they were having fun and we were joking and having fun. Rich Hawkins (agg shooter) which I had just met that weekend Spotted for me and after I kelp missing left I think he would have love to grab my gun and adjusted my sights. :-l I was a littler green to the sport then than I’m now. :-?? I will never forget after it was over (and yes I loss) Rich looked at me and said “on the line your screwdriver can be your best friend”! :-?

You know Tina is a keeper--if I took my wife to an 8 day shoot for our honeymoon… well, anyways… I'm glad we went to the mountains of Estes Park 18 years ago or else we might not be here now!
