LOUISIANA STATE - SMALLBORE – FIFTH SCALE – FIELD PISTOL - CHAMPIONSHIP

The weather had a huge influence on our two-day State Championship Match. The threat of tropical storm Karen kept a few shooters home and over the two day period we had to halt the match four times for rain showers. We also had minor issues with the wind blowing targets over Saturday afternoon. We were able to shoot both days though and there were some good scores fired. Philip Braud continued his streak with his scoped Ruger Charger firing a 40X40 in both UAS and UASFS. Ginny West also shot a UAS 40X40 but Philip prevailed in the shootoff. I just missed a 40X40 in Unlimited missing just one ram, the 7th. Because of the low turnout, there were no Aggregate Champions except for Fifth Scale and there were no Field Pistol entries. Thanks to my wife for setting targets, even in the rain. Thanks to David and Bob for staying after the match to help us load the targets.
