Just wondering if Bordello is just a trial thing a few places are trying, and Info on the Cowboy tube fed rifle (LR and BB) rules on both and where they are being tried. They sound simple and fun.

Question about Bordello and Cowboy rifles
Re: Question about Bordello pistol and Cowboy rifle rules.
I would like to know the answer to these questions also. It seems to me that with the membership of IHMSA dwindling, some members are suggesting more categories with more exotic pistols and calibers. This approach ain't going to get desired results IHMSA was started with the object of using popular handguns that were available and reasonably priced. Membership grew by leaps and bounds using this approach. We need to keep it simple and affordable and fun.

Re: Question about Bordello and Cowboy rifles
There are no trial disciplines such as Bordello & Cowboy going on. Some clubs welcome rifle shooters such as JCSA in Grant Pass, OR. We have rifle shooters that come from time to time and one regular. He shoots Small Bore rifle with a Winchester 513T & Big Bore Rifle with his father's Model 94.

Re: Question about Bordello and Cowboy rifles
As stated above different places have their own way of doing it. We offer .22 rifle in Lawrenceburg Ky. Rules are simple. One rest either front or back. We allow the choice of targets smallbore, fifth scale or field pistol. We lump everyone into the same class and have different categories, open sighted or any sight. Junior shooters get to count hits on field pistol targets but adults must knock them over to count. I will pay the extra fee and use my UAS scores in the rifle match if we have anyone show up to shoot rifles.
For some of the clubs struggling for shooters any shooter is another gun shot at the match. It takes the same work to set up and tear down the range for one shooter as it does to shoot 3- guns or more. If someone comes and shoots the side match and then sees how much fun we have maybe we get a member out of it. I'm sure our club is like a lot of others, our targets only come out 6-8 times a year. It gives our cub members as well as our guest an opportunity to use them.
