Has anyone gone to the store to get reloading supplies? There are no 22 LR cartridges, no bullets, no primers, and no powder to be found.
I can forget about doing any new load development & testing. That could put a damper on the turnout to matches this year for a lot of people.

Re: Wanted: bullets, primers, & powder
Primers are dried up around here. Powders are still found here, but the price is creeping up. Recently, I bought some xtreme bullets from their website as plenty came back in stock. Also, I was able to get a case of Eley Target on gunbroker for less than what CCI SV are going for. By no means am I bragging, I just have had luck looking beyond the local gun store. When this cycle of craziness ends, I will focus more on buying 22s and reloading supplies more than guns. Good luck!

Keep your eyes open. I've found more than enough to shoot the next two years plus. I bought two bricks of Wolf .22 target ammo from Champions Choice last night. Go to your local suppliers. They are actually getting some stuff in. Not a lot but some you just have to be there when they have it.

OP- it may help to add your location to your public profile. There may be a member who lives close enough to help you out, or maybe swap some stuff if it doesn't involve shipping or a 6 hour drive. My .02

If I recall correctly you have made the trip to the PSC range at Pearland Tx. The sanction match for IHMSA at PSC has been drop starting in 2021. What I understand is the NRA Lever Action sanction matches will continue, with the option that you can still shoot your pistol's for the fun of it if you like. For as I know the only two sanction IHMSA matches left in Texas is at New Braunfels and I think the other one is at Sweetwater. I feel your pain with the matches slowly but surely disappearing from a lack of shooters showing up at the matches. I started shooting Silhouette matches around twenty five years ago at the Greenwood Gun Club located at Brazoria Tx. Originally was shooting the NRA Rifle Silhouette matches which was eventually canceled from lack of shooters, then moved to the IHMSA and NRA Pistol matches with eventually the same results of being canceled from lack of shooters. The fine folks that have step up and host these matches do it for the love of game. But after a period of time burnout sets in with a lack of participation. Its not uncommon that they did get not much opportunity to shoot a round at the matches, target setup/removal, target setters, entering match results etc. For those folks a big Thank You for hosting the matches. I am also guilty for the past ten years I had been unable to attend the matches regularly, with the everyday life balances getting in the way. I am also at the crossroads if I am going to renew my membership this year because of the distance I will have to travel to shoot a sanction match. But one thing I know for sure I had completely enjoyed the opportunity to shoot at these matches and the opportunity to meet the fine people from all walks of life that I had the pleasure shoot with, good times.

Reading these posts make me think there is a reason to take another run at Postal Matches this year:
1. There is a match every month (or week, or whatever unit of time).
2. You only need to travel to your local range.
3. Participation is open to all - worldwide.
4. Provides motivation to keep shooting.
5. Great way to introduce new shooters to the sport.
6. Shoot by yourself, or with a fellow shooter.
7. Shoot when your schedule allows you to participate.
8. Keep in touch with everyone around the globe.
9. Friendly competition with only bragging rights on the line.
10. No entry fees.
You will need to self-certify those gun stocks though ...

And who is this? I shot a few times at PSC and ran a few matches at Greenwood Gun Club. I can remember back in the early 1990’s the phone would start blowing up on the Monday before the match weekend for reservations. We shot 4 banks of big bore and 25 relays. We closed early registration several times and folks would still come out hoping someone canceled.txhornet wrote: Sun Jan 10, 2021 11:05 am If I recall correctly you have made the trip to the PSC range at Pearland Tx.
