Time to retire

Post by JACKIE40X40 »

After 40 years of the best shooting sport going,I’ve decided to make a decision to retire.I had decided to retire at the end of the 2020 season, but my body isn’t cooperating with me,any longer.
I’m going to miss my shooting friends! The people of IHMSA was definitely one the reason to stay this long.

Jackie,

Been there. Might try a small bore after this COVID-19 thing is behind us. Getting down/up from Creedmoor became an issue.

All the best,

Due to recent cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off.

Jackie,
Sure hate to see you hang up your sixguns.
You have made a great contribution to IHMSA over the years.
My body doesn't want to do what I want it to do either so know your reason for kicking back.
Keep in touch with us here on the forum.
You have lots of knowledge to share with newer shooters.

Jackie - I have contemplated the same thing ! Cannot shoot open sights anymore, cannot shoot the Standing categories because I shake like crazy, and attending a Big Bore match is a MAJOR undertaking - both in time AND finances ! But I intend to continue - at least for a while longer. I think that this COVID-19 pandemic is going to make many of us "reset" our priorities ! Thank you for everything you have done for IHMSA, and for being a friend !! If I ever make it up to Oklahoma - I will definitely look you up !! Stay safe, be well, and may God bless !!
