HELP FINDING DIES

Post by dugout »

I was really surprised when the dies I ordered for my 7mm R Wichita arrived this AM and turned out to be 7mm Magnum!!

After a long phone conversation the vendor insisted that there was no such thing as a 7mm Int R.

So now I'm hoping that one of you guys might have, or know somone that might have, the dies I need????

I know it's a long shot, but I really need some help.

thanks,

Dugout,

You used "7mm R Wichita" and "7mm Int R". I am going to assume you meant 7mm Int R. I did a web search using Google and found that Midway carries RCBS dies in 7mm Int R. They are not cheap and are sold individually.

This should get you what you need.

I have a Redding 7 Int-R FL two die set I would sell for $50. Don't know where I got them or who I got them from but previous owner used pliers on the lock rings and chewed the rings up but the dies are A-OK. Other option is check with CH4D in Mount Vernon, OH. I went over there last Monday and picked up some 30BR dies for $86. Great dies at a great price. Email me at shultza@watchtv.net if you are interested in the Reddings.

If there is no such thing as 7 Int-R that must make my set of Redding dies a one of a kind and very expensive. I don't know who you talked to but the 7 Int-R was developed in the 80s (?) by rechambering TC 7 TCU barrels to use the 30-30 based case for silhouette shooting. These dies can also be used for the 7mm Bullberry only the Bullberry has a shorter neck but same body. Check my earlier post if you want my Redding dies. Even though these dies aren't supposed to exist according to your resources, I do have a set that I will sell.

Call Redding, they usually have a set on hand. I have bought several sets of dies from them that others say didn't exist even 250 sav. ackly imp.. They had them on the shelve and ready to ship. Another source is Hornady. I would call them first for they will be cheaper than Redding. ;)

Varmints,

Thanks for the info about the dies on Gunbroker............I was able to get together with the gentleman that had them for sale, and will have them soon.

I really appreciate the help everybody gave me on this, you'll probably be hearing about more problems I will be having, but I'm sure you guys will help solve them.
