Re: 6.8spc
My 6.8 project has now started moving forward. A few weeks ago, I picked up a factory T/C bull barrel from Ed's Contenders and then had a local gunsmith/machinist cut down the barrel and install a JP Recoil Eliminator onto it. I just got it back this morning, but haven't yet tried it out. A couple ...

Re: Weight vs. Velocity
This is a very cool discussion. It seems like black magic, but really it's just mathematics and physics.
Also as a follow-up, I've been reading up on heavy loads for the 6.8. There's already been some field research on this out there. While bulletsmiths do make 6.8/.277 bullets heavier than 135, I ...

Weight vs. Velocity
I'm working on my first Big Bore gun and it will be chambered for 6.8 SPC. Over the next few months, I'll start tinkering with loads to see what my Contender likes best. I've never worked with this particular cartridge before. I need to order some bullets, but without an unlimited test bullet budget ...
Re: 6.8spc
I'm not sure, but I thought so. My local Contender shop (Ed's Contenders) had a 6.8 barrel when I was in there last. I thought it was a factory barrel, but didn't verify it for sure. But, if that one doesn't work out, EAB, MGM and others would make me one.

Re: 6.8spc
I'm new to Silhouette and am only competing in SB in 2013. But, this gives me time to build my BB gun for 2014. I'm a Contender shooter and have decided on 6.8 as my caliber. I hear good things about this cartridge and bad things, but shooting 7TCU like everyone else just seems unimaginative. It ...

Re: Tornadoes
We're okay here, but there are hurting people all over. I've attached a photo that includes a pretty touching message from the rubble in OKC.

Re: Guns of the game: Small Bore
I'm a new shooter out of the OKC Gun Club and competing exclusively in SB this year. My G2 has a factory match barrel, a Martens front, a Williams/Merit rear and some trigger work from Ed's Contenders.

Re: Introduce yourself
I'm John Turpin from Guthrie, OK. I've observed this sport for many years, but have never done anything about it until now. I shoot at the OKC Gun Club and will compete in my first match soon. I will shoot small bore this year and then tip-toe into big bore once I've learned the ropes some ...
