Re: Lone Eagle
The one I saw came with a .22 hornet reciever and a .45-70 one- both with scopes mounted. seemed quite interesting to me. listed at $800, and ive found that any of these guns in most shops can be talked down because a giant single shot pistol just doesnt move like polymer framed 9mm's haha

Lone Eagle
A few days ago I saw a magnum research lone eagle in a gun store and my interest was piqued. the action is unique to say the least. balance was surprisingly good.

Re: silly idea
The weight of the slug etc would be like a heavier 45-70 plus at that close of a distance.
You're right, looking at federals published data for 2 3/4" slugs and their .45-70 loads and they are fairly close in ft-lbs.
Im quite a newbie though and I have to ask: how much difference is there in the ...

Re: T/C contender vs. G2
I ended up getting a contender in a trade with a .357 barrel, and a very goofy .44 mag barrel. the trigger is light and crisp, but not a true hair trigger so its a slight compromise.
I took it to my second match yesterday, and had a good time. The washer on the for-end broke from recoil, which was ...

T/C contender vs. G2
Hello everyone, I'm new to the sport, and am looking for some advice.
After looking around a bit, a T/C seems like my best option. I was looking for a few opinions on the old style contenders versus the G2.
Several very helpful shooters at the tusco range yesterday told me that the old version is ...
