Re: questions...
I am fairly new (and young) to this sport as well but after a season of ihmsa my advise is go a few matches before buying anything. If this is the game for you, you will want something that plays it well. In my experience guys are incredibly open you trying there guns and loads. I have learned a lot ...

Re: revolver class
My sbh seems to like it a little hot as well. My fab load is 250gr Sierra sil with 23.5gr h110 (same as 296)
This is a heavy recoiling load tho.
Lil gun also seems good but I don't have an exact load for that

Re: 7.5x55mm
I now have a k31 and a far amount of Swiss surplus. The rifle is lovely.
After researching the 7.5x55 a little more I have come across some interesting info that leads to a question.
The 7.5 performs very similarly to a .308 except for a lower pressure spike.
The k31's max pressure is listed at 45 ...

Re: Good Luck finding reloading components
I went looking for some bulk cast .44 (.430) cal bullets here in ohio. NOTHING. My local dealer had literally no cast bullets in any caliber (normally stocks 300-500 for any given caliber). Also no powder, no primers, no presses. Good Lord.
Also they wont accept orders for anything grr.

Re: INT. shooter for sure
Its funny you should post this as my brother has recently taken up making some slingshots and he and I have been shooting them often. They are a lot of fun.
They seem to use a lot of the same skills a firearm, or more likely a bow, uses.

Re: Tres Banditos at Tusco
I am glad you enjoyed it
7.5x55mm
Does anyone shoot this cartridge. I understand its not really a IHMSA type round but I am really interested in the K31 and am wondering what can be done in the load department.

Re: newbie reloader
I have now done significantly more load development. I tried every powder quantity that was reasonable (starting with the lowest recommended 44 special and going threw 44 mag) and found a load that seems to work. This is only one bullet so far. I did .5gr increments of powder (2400 still). I tried ...
