Re: Drawing or photo of resettable targets

That is great. Your engineering is right on the money.

I am considering extending my targets down about 6 in below as a hinge point and using a pull cable similar to what I have on my cable-pull combat/cowboy KD rack for resetting them.

And if the "Surplus Center" in LNK has a decent deal on ...

Drawing or photo of resettable targets

**== **== **== **== **==

I recently had to get a new phone and I lost many photos that wouldn't transfer. 8-|
I had pictures of the KD & reset mechanism for the .22 targets on Range Four at the Ike's near Bennet, NE.
If anyone has a successful resetting system and wouldn't mind sharing some ...

Re: What's your handle mean?

I've been Mustang Gregg for 40+ years.
I first got called it by accident (from an unhappy neighbor).
It has been my Army Aviation call sign.
And it is my SASS alias too.

And I have been working on old Fords for years.

Re: Target facing direction rules?

Thank you, Jim!

I appreciate the fast answer and the clarification.

With the NRA way of thinking of facing them all the same direction can definitely be more confusing.
And I don't think facing them opposite directions is really a disadvantage.

Thank you and now we have a general plan to get ...

Target facing direction rules?

I have started building an IHMSA small bore rope reset-KD range.
We have been away from silhouette shooting for quite a while and I have been told that there are specifically facing directions for the banks of targets.

We are building eight banks of five targets.
I am planning on having the left ...

Cast .25 Cal shooters....25 TCU question

**== **==
I am putting together an XP that I'd like to try shoot cast bullets through. It has a new Shilen stainless 1:9" twist and I have not slugged it.
I used to have a TC barrel in .256 WM that shot .257" bullets great.
I'd like to ask if most of you shoot bullets sized to .257" or to .258 ...

Amount of force to topple targets

**== **== **== **== **==

I have gotten back into IHMSA after 30 years.

I am building some knockdown racks for smallbore shooting.

I see there is a recommended amount of force to KD each of the air pistol targets.
Is there a recommended amount of force to drop each of the smallbore animals that I ...

Re: Unlimited rules question

I know that if I buy a new unbarrelled action (never was ever a rifle), I can put a barrel that is UNDER 16" on it and call it a handgun with NO NFA or BATFE issues. This has been done lots of times legally with virgin bare AR-15 type actions.

But going into the area of a rifle or a barrelled ...

Unlimited rules question

Would a Remington M700 SBR (all NFA approved) in .223 Rem caliber be IHMSA legal when all of IHMSA dimensions and weights are met?
I'm talking about a firearm with a 15" barrel, repeater action, rear grip, scope (for UAS) at 5.5# be okay for competition?

2019 packet was not all there?

**== **== **== **== **==
I have signed up for IHMSA again after quite a few years.

I just got my 2019 packet with the envelope all torn up.
It appears that I should have gotten a 2019 score card, decal, templates, rulebook, etc.
The monthly periodical was there, but nothing else.

What am I ...
