Possible target placement (new range question)

Hello, the fire,
I reckon it's been discussed before. I'm looking a building a range on my place for practice and maybe someday matches.
Is it permissible to "stack" (or maybe alternate depth/height is a better word) small bore targets?
I'm wanting to make the ram line a bit shorter than what distance 10 in a straight row takes up. That way we can have more than 10 targets on a narrow bank.
I'm pondering a set up like this. First 5 rams at 101 yds. Second 5 rams at 100 yds.
The first five would appear to be above the second five.
And the second 5 would be lower and just a tad closer.
It would look like this from the firing line.

6 7 8 9 10
I didn't see a problem with that as long as the rams didn't topple each other when falling over from a shot.
Please let me know if it's been done successfully. Or IHMSA-legal.
