I am looking for factory front sights, but not just any front sights. I don't know the era (if there is one) they look like any other Contender front sight but the blade is longer. (fore and aft measurement) The common ones are about.400" long. The one I am looking for is about .520" long.

A quick check that appears to hold true is looking down from the top, the back end will have two lines very close in spacing compared to the other lines. That is the common (short) one. The long one I am looming for the blade stops near the back end and the spacing is the same.

Have other sights to trade or will buy at reasonable rates. I need a couple.

Dan, Are the sights you are looking for go on carbine length barrels?
I checked my spare TC sights and all sight blades appear to be .400 long.
I don't think I have seen any TC where the blades were longer than .400.
Just curious what barrel/cartridge the .520 sights fit.

I really don't know where this one came from. While getting the pics I noticed the ramp is taller too.It has the same length cut out as a Ultimate and Silhouette.

Well that stinks. It was sized right last night....

I think I may have a front sight that will work. it is from a TC silhouette sight and can be adjusted for height. big problem with them though is that the post is made out of plastic.

also, I have a matched set of front and rear sights that came off a .22LR match barrel but still trying to find it.

Before we get too far, there was some older TC barrels that used a different hole spacing (my old 30/30 barrel was this way) built in the early 80's that used a sight rail the same as a rifle. it also had a notch cut in this one to install a hood. they are Very Rare though.

The sight with the plastic inserts will work.
