It was a great last Big Bore match with a fun shoot-off and another stellar performance by Mr. Cullison. You can read about it here.

See you in 2015!

Joe left before Mike shot his revolver and was not available for shoot-offs. Mike was there. When that happens, the person still there is the winner as he can shoot the shoot-offs. At least that's the way we do it here. Not sure that there is an "official" rule for such. Note Mike has 1 shoot-off target.

Steve, I think what Craig was mentioning is the rule book says "reverse count" can be used at normal matches so highest number of rams would have won. Of course it is up to the local MD how to break ties at local matches. Rules say shoot offs must used at championship matches to break ties. I guess reverse count can be helpful to break ties when one of the competitors has already left the match. What would happen if the remaining shooter shot at shoot offs but didn't hit any? Would he get credit for at least trying and be the winner?

Figured he had enough ammo to hit one.

tonedaddy wrote:Sorry Steve but I disagree here, reverse count always trumps shoot offs according to the rule book. Shoot offs are only for tie breakers and there was no tie here.
We like shoot-offs here in Oregon. We always shoot off a tie & do not use reverse animal count except in the case of second/third, etc. unless the two shooters decide not to. Shoot-off's are fun! :)) :)) =)) =)) O:-) O:-)

You can forgo animal count and shoot-off all ties - you just have to state the policy in your match announcement. We started Ascension Silhouette in 1991, and have ALWAYS shot-off all ties !
