Well said David. I personally would like to see more match reports. I know match reports are more important to new shooters mainly. But, I like reading them also. The Specialty Pistol Forum has a lot of silhouette info on it. Thank goodness for Magnum Mike and his forum. He was there when we had no real place of our own. I just wish some of those posters would duplicate their questions, comments and other items here for our new shooters and lurkers.

When i first posted this thread, we were at 33.3% participation. We are now at 40.9% participation. Although we have gained a few %, it seems more people would post after signing up. I guess I'm just stupid, but why would anybody sign up for something that interests them and not even say "hello". There is no question or comment that is too stupid to post (if that is what you're worried about). Boomer, maybe you should make a "stupid questions" section. That way if people are to embarrassed to ask something in the other sections, they know that everyone in this section feels the same way. I would spend a lot of time there, getting answers to questions that I wouldn't even think to ask, but would help me. Just a thought

All new members 1st couple of posts have to be approved by me before they appear on this forum as a spam prevention measure.
I normally check the forum a couple of times a day myself so your having to wait 3 days was bad luck as I was out of town.

I have used the forum to get a couple of newbie questions answered and it is a great resource. I encourage the lurkers to speak up, maybe it is just what you need to get going. Somehow things become a lot more "real" when you make contact with others that are interested in the same things.

In June I plan on attending my first shoot in 30 years. I found out about it from someone that answered one of my dumb-ass questions.
