Big Bore/Half-Scale Match Report

COMMENTS
It was a great match with a lot of tough competition, and some of the winners had to really dig deep and shoot well to end up at the top of the heap!
One of our classic duels is the Dave Whitman/Don Ritz match up. This month, it was Dave that took the Big Bore Production title by a scant two targets. Next month could be a different story!
Charlie Dean had a near perfect day. He and Don Ritz tied in Revolver but with no shoot-off Charlie took the title by reverse animal count. Charlie went on to take the Unlimited title in a shoot-of f with Mike Able. Both were tied at 40x40, but Charlie whacked 2x5 of the diminutive targets to Mike’s 1x5. The Charlie and Mike duel continued to the Unlimited Any Sight One-Half Scale match as well. They were tied at 40x40. Mike shot 5x5 shoot-off targets, and Charlie reciprocated with the same score. Round two, and Charlie went 5x5 again, but Mike fell two targets short at 3x5 giving Charlie the win. Charlie’s shooting also earned him the High Senior title.
Larry Hixson shot a very good 29x40 in Standing to take that title. But, Chris Minderman combined his Standing 25 with an Unlimited Standing 35 to earn him the Unlimited Standing title and a spot into the President’s Standing Aggregate 60 Club.
Levi Lee was our Unlimited Any Sight champion with a 40x40 plus 3 shoot-off targets, and Cristine Able was our High Lady.
Rich Burket shot with us using his Winchester model 94 and shot a personal best of 31x40. Rich is really tuning that rifle in!
