I just found out yesterday that Howard Dietz, owner of the property that
the IHMSA range is on, has passed away. I certainly hope that his heirs do
not sell the property, as so often happens when something like this occurs.
We have put alot of work in, building this range and it is a very nice place
to shoot IHMSA and NRA silhouette matches.

Saw this post from several months ago. Has there been any news about the future of this range or are the heirs still discussing the estate? Hope it works out for the TX shooters.

Re: central texas silhouette range
From what I understand Mr. Deitz's son has taken over running the business and has agreed to allow the silhouette range to move forward. They have had to move some of the berms from one side of the range to the other to avoid a conflict with new construction by a neighbor. Hopefully that will fix any future problems and the range can continue to hold matches.
No job is so simple that it cannot be done incorrectly.

Good Evening -
I'm the new CTSA President. I would like to update folks on our range situation. CTSA is fully operational. Yes, we've done some improvements for safety and community relations. Please, if you have any questions concerning our range operations feel free to contact me directly. After all the dust has settled, CTSA is here to stay.
Respectfully,
Ken Schilling
