Is Will Curlin's name on the list? I want to think he has shot one.

Philip, he would never admit it!braud357 wrote:OK - maybe you have a "leg up" !i26963 wrote:Yes he did, I think it was 1998. I spotted for his 80, which proves, despite what RW says, I am an Int. class spotter!Richard Pickering wrote:No, I didn't shoot a smallbore 80-----ever. But, Melvin, didn't Randy Fussell shoot one at Oak Ridge one year with a S/W 617 ?
Shot for first time today after my shoulder surgery, without my suwrgeon's knowledge, of course! I shot FP Prod. With a 22 Hornet with no pain or problems , except some rust!, managed a 29, missing 2 C and 2P, then had 7T and 6R. Robert still had to shoot, so I am sure he took no pity on an old, half cripple shooter! Had to leave before he shot.
Got to see the Alabama legend, Richard Slaton, which is always a pleasure. Even he treats me better than RW!

Oh, my wing is broken..........No, I had no pity on him and if I did beat him I hope it was by only one or two points' the way he always does me. He had no problem with that shoulder when lunch was served though.
I do want to acknowledge his continuing "Spotter Training"; he did me proud spotting my Production Gun.

My amigo was too modest to tell you about a personal best for him in SB Standing class. He shot an amazing 35! I am very proud of him. He works hard on his game!

Robert, that is a fantastic score!! Melvin will forever claim that superior spotting was responsible for that great score.
Good job.
You know the world record is 37. If you can hit 35 you only need two more!!

SB standing of 35 is outstanding. When was that shot?
I hope somebody sent it in to Dan to get it posted.
Congrats.

Jim, This one was not spotted by Melvin, although most, if not all of my better scores are/were spotted by him; by this time he had put it in a sling and headed back to Greenwood. This one, Jonathan Moore picked me up on Turkeys and "walked" me the rest of the way through. A tremendous Thank You to Jonathan Moore. This was fired Saturday 3/5/2016.Jimologist wrote:Robert, that is a fantastic score!! Melvin will forever claim that superior spotting was responsible for that great score.

I was mostly enjoying the show through AtomicDogg's fancy binoculars! One amazing thing is that although the hit placement varied a wee bit from target to target, the second rounds were generally right on top of the first!
