Soft recoil, tight groups...

Phooey. Went rooting through the powders and found one 8oz. can of SR 4759. Light green Du Pont tin. Just enough to be frustrating!

Did try Power Pistol powder under some 240some odd gr. 429421s last Monday. Not bad, but somewhat higher up the power scale than is needed for FP. Clean burning though. Just short of 9gr charges.

Freshly purchased 629-6 Classic 8 3/8" had it's first test run. Thinking it's going to be easier to work up loads than with the previous S&Ws. Doesn't mind cast bullets at all. even with the ECMed rifling. Good wobble damping full underlug barrel. Finally!

I use 22 grains of Imr-4227 behind the RCBS 240 grain silhouette bullet for Excellent accuracy from my Ruger Super Blackhawk, with 10.5" barrel. This bullet drops out of my mold at 255 grains. It will shoot bullet-touching groups all day long at 50 meters. I use Federal large magnum primers and crimp the bullets heavily with the Lee factory crimp die.
