ok, I found some Cast bullet loads in my old RCBS cast bullet manual for the 30 herret (book printed in 1986). I did not check to see if these powders are still available:

H110 15.6-16.6 grs
296 16.0-18.0 Grs
2400 15.0-17.0 Grs
Rcbs 30-180-SP
H322 19.0-21.0 Grs
RE7 16.0-18.0 Grs
2400 19.0-21.0 Grs
IMR4227 13.1-15.1 Grs
hope this helps

Re: 30 Herrett loads required
Sold both my 10" and 14" 30 Herrett barrels to a good friend last year. Shot production for first time in two years last month with my 10" 30-30 with cast and wished I had kept my 10" 30 Herrett. 30-30 shot great but the Herrett is just more fun. Anyway, I happened onto a 10" 30 Herrett barrel and will be trying my NOE 150 spire point with about 16.0 grains of SR4759 at our next match. The NOE 150 is cast out of linotype and sized .310 and has turned out to be the most accurate 30 caliber bullet I have ever shot. I still like the RCBS 150 and 165s but think the NOE is just better at long distances. Just wanted to post an update to this string since this is one of my favorite cast bullet cartridges. Will post some results later.

Re: 30 Herrett loads required
Shot my 10" TC 30H this month in P-AAA. I used the NOE 150 spire point bullet cast out of linotype, sized .310, LBT blue (soft) lube in front of 17.0 grains of SR4759. Load is very accurate and mild so won't beat you to death in a long match. My barrel has a long throat so I just seated the bullets to cover the top grease groove which puts the base of the bullet at the base of the neck. Didn't have any sight settings (normal for me) and was able to hit 34X40. Hit 9 chickens and 10 pigs so most of my misses were figuring out settings for turkeys and rams. I'm only P-AAA so I was happy with that score for starting with a new load and no sight settings. SR4759 seems to be an ideal cast bullet powder.
