Anyone have favorite loads for this caliber?
New to the BF and 7US and wondering if it will push a 175gr over 1800??
Do you have favorite loads for shooting 500m with the 10" barrel??
Being new to the BF 7US I'm also wondering if there are ever extraction problems if you load them towards the high end of reloading manuals recommended loads?? Or can you load them up like an MOA until smoke comes out of the action ??
thanks,
Harry
NO, I won't sue you if my gun blows up! I'm trying to find out if I want to buy one of these or not.

Hi Harry!
Disclaimer: I have no experience with the 7US. That said, I have heard 30-30 brass is rather thin walled. If so, it could be the weak link.
If you want hell for stout, go with the MOA and have Rich build you one in a 500 meter suitable chambering!

Re: 7US in BF Production Gun
Thanks Steve but I have one of those now. I'm shooting 30H and pushing 175s almost 2000fps. It's a boomer and works really well. I could maybe up the load some on my MOA but brass probably wouldn't last very long. I'm shooting 30 American brass in it now. A special run of Federal 30-30 brass with small rifle primer pockets.19 Turkeys wrote:Hi Harry!

Re: 7US in BF Production Gun
Bump................Any Cast bullet loads out there?
I have just "borrowed" a mates BF in 7US and want to shoot it with the 145 RCBS or the 145gr NOE Hunter bullet.
Any help or direction would be appreciated.
Peter

Re: 7US in BF Production Gun
I have not seen any CB loads for the 7US but you can research either the 7BR or the 7TCU. If you can find loads for either of those you can take the midpoint of the load as a starting point for the 7US.ihmsakiwi wrote:Bump................Any Cast bullet loads out there?

You can also try Eben Brown at sales@eabco.com he is the person who "invented" the 7US.
Good Luck !
