XP 100 223 load development

Post by Kill n Time »

Hi guys,

I just picked up a very clean xp-100 varmit model.

I haven't shot it yet and I was wondering, can I throw a rifle scope on it for load development shooting it from the bags or is the 223 too powerful for that causing an eye full of Leupold?

Thank you, Doug

Sounds like it is a rear grip and should not be a problem with a rifle scope as long as you maintain a good grip while shooting.

You will be well served to "pull back" and decrease your field of view. I had a factory XP223 once and did some load development with a Leupold scope very similar to yours. I was not paying attention and it drew blood on my eyebrow ! true, a 223 does not kick much, but it kicks enough - be careful !
