.222 heavy bullet data

Post by pauly »

G'day from Downunder . :-h

G'day All , I have been giving my XP100 heavy barrel .222 a go at big bore with great success on chickens , pigs , buzzards/ turkeys but with very limited success on rams :( I would like to try some 80grain Amax bullets ( I tried 68 grain HPBT but not much better than the 50grain SP that I have tried ) that I have but I cannot find any load data for them :( can anyone help with some data ? I had this gun built for half size ( it is a 1 in 7.5 twist ) but it works so good on full size ( except rams ) I would like to see them horned critters knocked over consistantly by the deuce .
Thanking you in advance for any help you may be able to provide .

Regards Paul . :)

Pauly, look around for a contact with Steve Roe in North Carolina. He or Joe Lassiter should be able to help you. Richard
