I've been shooting RL 7 in my 7-08 Striker under a Lyman 287641 ( 160 Sil. ) I got lucky my mold drops with the noses right on .277 I've had good results with RL 7 and it meters like sand . I also agree with Charlie the more cast I shoot the more I seem to be leaning toward the slower powders ( one listed for jacketed data ). I have to tweek the RL 7 loads a little and then next on the list is 4064 using Lee's reduced powder charge formula .

I bought a Wichita in 7mm ihmsa about 2 months ago and agree with the above about imr 4895 being good for reduced loads. I do not use cast bullets but, am using the speer 7mm 110 tnt bullet with 31 grains imr 4895 and it shoots very accurate and is a very mild load. The manuals show going up to 38.5 grains with this bullet weight so this is about 30% reduced.
