Guns of the game: Small Bore

The bullets may be smaller but not the challenge.

Guns of the game: Small Bore

Post by Boomer »

I thought it would be interesting & fun to have a thread to show off our “toys”. Glamour shots would be great but “working” pics are also appreciated!

Please post pics of the guns you use for each category & include any particulars about it (caliber/load/optics etc).
To keep the pages loading quickly please limit the size to 640x480 pixels.

If you have problems posting photos go ahead & make your post & email the pics to me at bob[at]ihmsa.org & I will resize & post them for you & then insert them into your post.
Regards,
Bob

For Production and Unlimited I shoot a TC/Contender and for UAS & 5th Scale I shoot a Ruger Charger. I shoot Flop for the freestyle classes so the grip is short but that just takes a little time whittling over the winter.

One of my Unlimited guns, an Exemplar with Bo-Mar/Bond sights. Favorite ammo is Eley Standard (now marketed as Target).

This is my first Production gun, an AMT Lightning. I bought it over the Ruger copy because of the better Millett sights. First Production 40 was with this gun and Winchester Super-X ammo.

This is the gun that inspired my forum user name. When I shot this High Standard Trophy in Production category I was able to score some 40X40s with it using the factory 7 1/4" barrel. It now sports a Volquartsen 14 3/8" carbon fiber barrel with brake and cantilever scope mount. Optics are the Bushnell Elite 3200 2-6X and a homemade sun shade. It's my pride and joy. Easily my favorite firearm and it is a shooter.
