Other than the stock and the stampings, how does a 64P differ from an Exemplar?

Thanks!

pretty much nothing else.

But, While Exemplar's came with either a right hand or left hand bolt, All the 64P's i have seen have a right hand bolt only.

this thread gave some info:

Here is a left hand 64P. Ive seen a couple but not common. Maybe they were some of the early ones. This one was in a standard black 64P rynite stock. The stock that its in is a 64 rifle stock that somebody cut down for benchrest pistol I think.

Thank you!
Glad it helped!

Also, I am going to give you another hint. If an Anshutz rifle or pistol will not group or Vertically strings, Replace the firing pin spring!

on my 64P, it was vertically stringing about 1 1/2 inches at 50 yards. After replacing the spring, it now averages 1/2 inch at 50 yards!

@nutcase

That was timely and helpful. I had two that failed to ignite Saturday. I tried them again and both fired the second time.

I ordered a spring and a spare.

Now I just need to figure out how to get the bolt apart. :-\

Steve,
Welcome back to IHMSA! As Jim pointed out, you're in a sweet spot between facilities that host matches.

From your posts...is it safe to assume you are left handed?

Thank you Rich.

Guilty, left handed, left eye dominant.

It is unfortunate that Circleville and Crittenden shoot the same Saturday.

I have an obligation most Sundays.
