The bullets may be smaller but not the challenge.

The Afternoon Entertainment

Post by Richard Pickering »

This month we congratulate Lisa Godwin and Clint Johnson. Both posted 40 in UAS at Cherokee Gun Club; Gainesville, GA. (Clint---Welcome to Intl).
They provided the entertainment via 1/5 scale pigs at the Ram line. Each shot at 10. Lisa snagged 7 while Clint managed 1. I'm sure we will see these two at it again.
I have served as assistant match director, Southern Silhouette club, 1980s. Also, the Griffin Gun Club for Silhouette during the 1990s, to about 2005. For a short period I authored the ''Cast Bullet'' section of The IHMSA News. Joined IHMSA March 1979.

Based on a recommendation that she got at a recent NRA Highpower clinic, Lisa switched from her dominant left eye at this match for the first time to her right eye as she has been shooting from the RH position in IHMSA but LH position with rifles. There was a slight POI shift to the right that we didn't notice earlier, so all four of the wee 100yd piggies hit on the second shoot off bank were hit in the head and neck. The miss was between the ear and snout. Oy!

Happy to see Clint make International and get in his first shoot off all in one match! :ymparty:
