Re: Smith Wesson mod 41 for silhouette
I tried one years ago and found the front sight too wide for the small animals. Gun is accurate enough but the sights did not work for me but may be ok for you. Worth a try.

Re: Smith Wesson mod 41 for silhouette
Thanks Lynn. If I used a model 41 I would need to get a red dot for it. My eyes no longer are good for open sights.
Assuming good accuracy, do the bullets have enough energy for the 100 yd. targets?
Other item still pending.

Red dot should do well for you. Most target 22 ammo will take rams but every once in a while one will stand there and just smile at you.
That is why this is a game since there is no sure thing.
Thanks for the pending update. Offer still stands.

The red dot will be easy to acquire targets and fun to shoot. Red dots sights are optics, so you will be in an optics class (either standing or freestyle) and may be better served by a scope. With no recoil, the gun is suited for rifle scopes. You have several options to consider.
