The 3 day, South Central Regional Championship has come and gone. There were several rain delays during the match but we made it through. IHMSA president Steve Martens attended and hauled away an impressive stack of trophies.
Members have been asking about the SK Flat Nose ammo. I used it in 4 guns and shot two 60s and two 59s. I won the PH-22 Championship with the TC in the above picture, 60+7 shoot-off. I would have most likely shot a 60 with the Kidd/Charger but just as I was squeezing the trigger on my last Turkey, a fly tried to go up my nose and I flinched and missed. BUMMER! Production was a 60 (TC with Sig Sauer red dot) and UASFS, 59 with Exemplar (36X Weaver). Missed a Turkey again but with no excuse Shot Flop in everything.
So, the question of course is: would I have shot just as well with the round nose SK Match? We'll never know but I'm sticking with the Flat Nose.
THE KIDD IS FINISHED
The bullets may be smaller but not the challenge.
