My day was made Sunday at out SB match. My 13 yr old jr. grandson Dylan Grueber shot his first 40x40 USA SB . he had shot 38 the mo before and also a 38 in UAS BB that mo . We did not get to shoot bb this mo.because every one was out sick. maybe aug. as we are going to skip july because of the heat here in sw fl. Dylan and I were to go to the world chimpionship this mo but due to my cansor , could not drive and started full brain radition treatments today. we were going to shoot 4 sb and 4 bb each, and spott for each other.i had to pull out. i have gone down hill since 2013 world championship but i know Dylan could have made a good go of it in the jr class and in his reg classes. Dylan is now UAS SB AAA+ .way to go Dylan 40X40. we had to pull out today to give up our spots to some one else. at least i made one world championship 2013 att Ft Stockton hot and windy. for you new shooters there have fun , shoot your best, and try to have a spotter.

If you've got a picture of that, I would love to put it in the IHMSA News. We've got to celebrate these new shooters and those great accomplishments--and that one is awesome! Great shooting, Dylan!

Congrats on your first 40x40.
I didn't realise how special this milestone would be until my partner shot her first perfect score in the Queensland State Championship in SB Production last weekend.
It was the only 40x40 shot in SB for the comp (5 in BB), against 9 of the top International shooters in Australia (she was in AA grade, AAA now).
She had a great clover leaf group going throughout the match and didn't look like missing until the 9th Ram where her shot struck high and right on the rump, I thought the pressure was going to beat her, but in the spotting scope I rode the last shot all the way to a text book centre shot and over the last Ram went.
I was out of my spotting seat and dancing around, high fiving everyone who was watching and applauding.
We have only been shooting for 13 months (taking up the sport in our late 40's) and have found Met Sil to be an excellent couples sport (as we work as a team, shooter & spotter) that has given us something to do together.
I have NEVER been prouder of someone's achievement and excited to be apart of it!!
Now to get my own 40x40 (highly unlikely)!!

What's nice about this almost year old post
It was one of the last post 686 made before he
Left the range. I'm sure he's looking down on this with a grin :D
