09/19/14 match report

Post by ole95 »

Well we finally got to have our second match of the year this morning
Will (son in law) stopped by on his way home from work, got there about 7:00 I had the range set up and ready. We did a NRA start with Will starting on Pig and Me on Chicks. Will started shooting US and I started Production. Will was shooting a Daisy 747 with red dot and I a 747 with Martens/Williams sights. Will shot a 22 going 9/10 on rams I missed the 3rd. chick on the second bank then ran the table
for a new high for me 39. Next will started chick shooting UAS (same gun) and I on pigs shooting Standing (same gun ) Will was up and down but again went 9/10 on rams for a a 33. All I can say is I was in the groove
Clean the Pigs and 1st. 8 Turkeys spun #10 but did not fall missed the 5th ram on bank 1 then clean the second bank. Missed 1 chick on each bank for a all time high of 35. :-o
Weather was nice and and the Coffee was good.
Looking back on our records late year Sept match Will shot the exact same scores

Will US 3 6 4 9 22

Will UAS 8 8 8 9 33

Richard Pro. 9 10 10 10 10 39

Richard S 8 10 8 9 35

Great scores. Sounds like a lot of fun. I need to get my Daisy out and set up my targets. Never tried to shoot at actual targets yet. Might lose them little suckers in the grass! Thanks for the report.
