Re: Cherokee Gun Club - Nov. 5, 2016 Match Results
Seemed quite the good turn out! Missed having Sherri, but Understand the drama of having to look after an ailing parent.
Had quite a few newer shooters return as well as one first timer. (She didn't shoot for score, I think) Kdiver58 did not shoot, but was busy spotting and doing target maintenance. He was able to give full attention to his wife's shooting, which may or may not have helped her get her first 40! Having done that, she lost the "training wheels" and still shot well into the 30's.
My Field Pistol entry was a first time test of Bordello rules. Ran a 4" S&W 67, which apparently decided to shoot right all day. Didn't notice on sighters, so just had to hold left. It seemed to shoot higher than expected on Chickens and Pigs but Kdiver's spotting helped! Had no testing at 75yds, but elevation was about mid body. Hold over on Rams was about as expected unless I raised the muzzle before shooting, in which case the misses were high. (Powder position sensitivity with WW231, not altogether surprising!)

AAA in FPAS continues to be just out of reach. For whatever strange reason I feel the need to get there with a revolver, which makes things just a wee bit harder!
Once there, thinking of transitioning to DaveC's 25-20 and trying it with cast bullets.
Ron Dixon stated late in the day that he's open to .22 rifle entries for score, so may do some of that next year as well.
Can't hardly wait for next season!

3 Pigs and 3 Turkeys with a 1 7/8" barreled DA only .38 Spl. He also got at least one Chicken and a Ram. Misses were close!
FYI: looks like Bordello will be an option for future match, if only unofficially! Fair amount of interest expressed.
