July 18th was only our second match of the year at Top Shot and participation was low, with only three shooters firing five entries. Philip Braud made the long trip again and started the day struggling with an uncooperative UAS gun. He managed to get only 30 of the 40 on his first effort. But he re-entered the same gun, after resolving the issues, and got all 40 the next time through. Will Kirste was with us again this month and fired a UAS 33X40 with a 221 Fireball XP100. Also of note, Will did renew his IHMSA membership so he was official today. I managed to post a pair of cast bullet 36X40 scores, one with an XP100 35 Remington in UAS and the other with a Contender 7 TCU in Production.
Bruce Finley shot a couple of entries in NRA Cowboy Rifle, one of which was a perfect 40X40 in CLA using a Marlin 30-30.
