We had a decent turnout for our July match with 10 entries fired plus 3 shooters in NRA Smalbore Cowboy Rifle. Allen Gaskin came down and shot with us today, running through the course three times. Bob Stevens recorded a couple of entries and Ellis Sisk shot a Practical Hunter entry with his FA revolver. I was finally able to shoot a 40X40 in Practical Hunter Short Course with my Contender 22 Hornet with iron sights which turned out to be the only 40 for the day. I should have recorded another 40 in Unlimited having hit all the targets but a bone headed early shot cost me a pig so I settled for a 39. Brother Philip uncharacteristically missed a ram with his Charger in UAS. I joked that it must have been a bad cartridge. Thanks to all who stayed after the match to help up pick up the targets in this oppressive heat. We do appreciate it.

Nice shooting in oppressive conditions! Allen said it was about 95 with 120% humidity! We had it really tough at Tusco this weekend, about 73 degrees!
Told wife she's lucky IHMSA is my mid life crisis, it's cheaper than a Corvette or chasing younger women!

It's comforting to know some things in life never change.
