22 Hornet twist rate

I've got an itch to try 22 Hornet for FP and was looking to get an aftermarket barrel made. I filled out the internet form until I got to a choice of twist rates. The site listed 1-12 as good for 40-55 gr bullets. I thought I would check here before I hit the "add to cart" button. Is 1-12 the ticket? Slower? Faster? Thanks

If you intend to shoot only 55 grain bullets, I would suggest a 1-10" twist. Then you could load less than full tilt loads and still stabilize the heavier bullets. You don't need full charge loads with 55 gr bullets to topple the Rams and with lighter loads, your brass will last longer.

My BF 22H is a 1:9 twist. I shoot Nosler 52 gr. BTHP in it

I don't know much about the 25-20. I'm open to suggestions. What advantages would 25-20 have over 22 Hornet?

Thanks to 19 Turkeys and 35isit, I have been shooting the 25-20 in PH-SC for over a year and I love it.
With my setup, I make no changes in elevation settings. I screwed the cap on the knob and forgot about it.
The only down side is you must form your brass from 32-20, which is easy. Factory brass is as scarce as a truth from a liberal's mouth.

Longer brass life, heavier bullets, far fewer ringers.

It's also good with cast bullets. With some work.

I also recommend the 25-20. Factory brass is obtainable if you look hard enough. Either way I recommend the 19turkeys load and the Lyman three die set that includes the "M" die. I'm using a 15" MGM barrel in PHSC.
