I have a quantity of the Nosler 110gr .308 tipped Varmageddon bullet and would like to use them in my 10" 30-20 TC for FP with Starline brass and the Federal match sm pistol primer. Can anyone suggest a powder--or powders and starting loads? Thanks.

Found some data for 32-20 with a load of 5.5 grains of N-340. Start around 4.25 grains & work up.

For a couple of years now, I have used the Sierra "Accuracy Load"; which is listed in their manual as 5.8 Grs. Win 231 w/ 110 Gr bullet, I used the Hornady 110 Gr. Spire Point, only because it showed a higher BC than the other 110 Gr. bullets.......it has been a real performer, when I do my part. I have since moved on to 6.0 Grs. Win 231 w/ a 100 Gr. Lapua Hollow Point Cutting Edge bullet [Powder Valley or someone was running a ridiculously low sale price on the bullets; for a while it was really hard to find the 110 Hornady Spire Point].

HI
I also use 5.8 gr of 231 with a 110. Seems to work good with low recoil.

Same here, I am still using that. Nice to know that lot of us are still using that.

Do you guys have to put any filler in after powder with those light load? I use H110 which is basically the same but use 13 grains and a speer 130 bullet. I would like to lighten my load for less recoil,

H110 is W296, not 231. I believe 231 may be the HP-38 equivalent but would need to verify. Here is an article on Leverguns that has some load data. http://www.leverguns.com/articles/paco/3220wcf.htm

Cleanest burning powder I have ever used. Currently using it with great success in my 25-20.
Thanks Steve and Gregg.
