You have some really good trigger smiths in Ohio. I won't put their names on the forum, but contact the match directors at LHA, Circleville, and Tucso for references.

I found the post I was referring to;

"Steve, the Hornet even with 60’s could cause one frustration with hand set target. You guys with auto resets and a topple point set up have it made. Coming west of the Mississippi may cause some shooters grief.

Recall some years back a conversation with Gary R, telling me how his 221FB was taking over BB rams with proper placement, ain’t gonna happen on any kind of a regular basis her, lol.

To the OP, a lot of work for what you get in return. I doubt brass or primer pockets will stand pressures to get decent results past 100 with the heavies, even for paper punching."

The reference to "past 100" leads me to believe he may be talking about something other than FP.

SSK-50 is on order. EABCO is saying 6 to 8 weeks. We'll see. If that happens it will be in time for spring.

MGM barrel on order too. 22 Hornet, 9 twist. They are also quoting 6 to 8 weeks.

I found sufficient brass and a scope and have some bullets to try.

Found a set of Redding Competition dies. Hopefully the seater will be kind to the brass.

I think I have a line on some H4895. A local guy offered to trade it to me for some Varget.

Go with the 22 Hornet... preferably 1-9" twist and you'll be fine with 55gr or heavier bullets.

A boat tail bullet will be kind to the brass.

Thank you Doug. I have been eyeballing some BT's just in case.

I remember from when I shot Pistol Silhouette before was how finicky the brass was. :(

I have an annealer. Don't know if that will make things better or worse. LOL

The Redding Competition seater has a sliding sleeve and captures the case and bullet. The bullet section of the sleeve has a cylinder barely larger than the bullet so it does a pretty good job of aligning it to the case. I'm hoping that and a slight chamfer will work.

If not, I will find some boattails.

I received an email from EABCO.

"Our first shipment (orders placed on or before 12/03/23) is scheduled to deliver to us mid-February,"

I found an MGM barrel, 22 Hornet, 9 twist.

I think all I need yet is a grip and forearm and scope rings.
