Invisible Chicken Target

Post by jmoore »

Tried printing out some more chickens using the pdf busines in the reference thread but the view shows a mere outline and nothing comes out on the printer side aside from the usual type about the corners. Pigs work.

Hoping there's a few left in the range box as it's that time again.

Which chicken target are you trying to print? Full scale, half scale, smallbore, or fifth scale? I can provide you with a pdf for any of these that will print a solid black target. The full scale will require more than standard letter size paper.

I believe what he is bringing to attention is that the PDF file for the printable Chicken target is merely a grey outline of the chicken instead of a completely black target like the rest of the PDF files. Maybe Boomer, who posted the printable target files can correct this issue.

That's the one. It was not that way a while back. Have scaled it to field pistol size and printed out plenty last year. I suppose if one was computer saavy it would not be a big issue, but that's not me.

Sort of spray painted in the outline using MS Paint, but now I can not remember where the size reference is for the various targets. (I have the scaling written down for when the chicken wasn't invisible, but somehow the various gyrations aren't the same, and I'm having a tough time making my modified image scale out. Did I mention I can barely use these infernal machines?)

Sorry, somehow I missed that offer! Field pistol size. The big question: What's involved? Email, or something more computery? Will be back online Monday about 0030.

Send me a PM with your email address and I'll send you the file. The easiest will be a pdf file. You should have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. If not, it is a free download from Adobe. http://www.adobe.com/products/reader.html
Then just open the file and it and you can print true to scale on standard 8.5" X 11" paper.

Well, color me stupid!

My spotter and occasional FP shooter found me the link on the IHMSA home site with the solid black chicken jpeg image intact. Link here:

And as referenced in the other discussion, that target is not of the correct shape.
