I disagree, Joe
You can’t tell me that practicing and getting acclimated to that range is not an advantage.
Re: your #7 point. Who do you think is taking the most advantage of those practice days? Most likely the locals who are already there. Most people don’t plan their trip to arrive 2 days early to the match.
At any rate, the shooters will decide if it’s fair or not. I’m not attending, so doesn’t affect me this year, and now I can say it will probably never affect me in the future.
Have a good match

Jackie, Sorry to stir up this minor controversy. Obviously you and the OKCGC gang know how to conduct successful and fair matches. Good luck to you and your crew. Good luck to all the shooters who will attend the Championship event this year. Sorry I won't be there to add to the low scores.

As a lower class shooter. The biggest advantage I could see is shoot offs. If they have a standard set they use they could be practiced. I've ran several championship matches and have always used a mixed bag of target sizes and shapes. Never told anyone before the match what they would be. Don't think I ever used a "luck" target. Mixed targets makes it fair for all and usually ends the shoot off after just one or two rounds. If it doesn't I change targets.

But alas no matter how much we do or don't practice. We all have to line up the sights and squeeze the trigger. We can only hit 80 of them, and it's up to us to do it.

Joe, Jackie and the rest. See you Saturday if everything goes right.

This situation kinda reminds me of the movie - Blazing Saddles - badges, we don't need no stinking badges! rules - we don't need no stinking rules!

Everyone - just have fun, rules or not.
