There are some amazing scores being posted. Looks like several ladies are doing well too. Good to see the 30 Herrett is still working for several shooters. I agree with Steve, shootoffs will probably take two days!!!!!!

What happened at the annual meeting? Was a financial statement presented?

Meeting reviewed 2015 minutes. Discussed 2017 possible sites and dates. Light chat comparing 80 vs 60 rd format, pro's & con's of both.

Not sure about $ statement. I confess to letting my mind obsess over missed targets.

If we were broke last year, we're probably still broke.

Shooting USA filmed today & will return tomorrow.

Toasty today, about 104 in the shade. Diana wilted about 4 days ago, just can't take heat. My blood thinner meds work great, 104 is just one notch above balmy as long as wind blows.

Totally impressed with final scores. OK guys have perfected the flop, shootoffs were tiny at 200m but floppers were unfazed.

Can't wait to shoot 500m!!

I'm sure all the shooters and helpers are past the 'well done" stage from all the heat but us left behind people are holding our breath waiting for an updated match report. Probably waiting till shootoffs to determine winners and that is OK but the suspense is killing us. Also deja vue thing about todays floppers. They were called prone shooters in the good old days. What goes around comes around. I wonder if the annual meeting had a quorum this year. Seems like that has been an issue at some previous annual meetings which prevented conducting a "formal" meeting.

Here are some of the highlights

1. The 2016 world championships will not be a loss. At the very worst a wash, it should show a nice profit after everything is totaled.
2. Board approved an improved/cleaner reading version of the by-laws. Add an earlier date for nominations in the newsletter.
3. At delegates meeting approved a by-law change that will allow the members to vote via electronic means.
4. Due to the new membership plan we are seeing many returning members and many new members.
5. Ray has the first quarter report almost ready and it is looking very good. He is working on the records from 2014 and 2015.
6. We have had over 500 guns shot at the 40th annual World Championships, if you missed this match, you missed one of the best.
7. Saving the best for last, the past two days Shooting USA has been filming the 2016 world championships. They will be filming the Ultra 500 tomorrow. They seem very interested in the concept of handguns at those distances. It should air in a couple of months and they will be providing our contact info and our web site. We need to be positive and helpful to any prospective new members who come to our forum looking for more information about our sport. This is the type of promotion we cant afford to buy, so we need to take advantage of this opportunity.
