When you are an INT shooter, trying to shoot a gun I am not used to at a match like this will be a waste.
unfortunately I would not know anything about being a INT. Shooter :((
Besides, I am going for the revolver class

Hope your not planning on knocking Warren off his 'Standing Revolver " Throne :-?
Revolver i is the only thing I have not shot a entry in both SB and BB :-?? $-)
we missed you at the WCC this year! this was a fun match.

I sure hope to make it back someday :ymparty:

I'm sure Troy or I could use you behind the spotting scope on Saturday afternoon--I'm sure one/both of us will be shooting until last call! Pam and Meghan won't arrive until Monday (Meghan has an archery shoot that first weekend, so I'll be solo for the first three days), so they'll head out from Colorado in a separate car once that is done. I only signed up for 14 guns, 2 per day, hopefully with the option of adding a third in the afternoon if I feel like it. The way I've been shooting lately, I might be better off dropping a gun per day instead of adding one.
Only 14 Guns?? :-o

I only signed up for 8 guns.. But with 2 guns breaking in the last month, it kind of limited me what I can shoot.
I shot 21 guns at last year's World Championship. Some great advice I got from Jim Fields a few years ago the first time I went to the OK state shoot… he told me to shoot everything I had, no matter what. At the time, I only had basic factory guns, 10" contenders with factory sights, a 6" barrel GP100 for revolver, etc. His advice was that the best way to get better at shooting was to shoot a lot. Didn't matter if you could win, that isn't the point. You are just there to make yourself better. I credit a lot of mentors out there for making me a better shooter--Harry Jones of CO, Jim Tolbert of WY, Joe Cullison of OR, Richard Slaton of AL. But every time I travel from Colorado to go to the OK state shoot, the highlight is to get to spend some time with Jim Fields. Since that first time four years ago when he told me I did a lot of good things and that I just needed to do more shooting, I took it to heart. I had nothing but production guns, but I would turn around and shoot them in unlimited, or 1/2 scale, or 1/5 scale, whatever. So that has been my goal at every match I've shot since then. Shoot as much as I can, and try to learn from each entry.

Loading ammo now. My wife/spotter called a leg hit on a Ram in BB unlimited. I know she was correct but the sight picture was perfect. When I went to put the cartridges back in the box I saw one had a neck split. Oops. I normally shoot cases to failure but for the big dance I'm bringing up a new batch of brass for unlimited and inspecting every other round. I can't afford to lose a single target to a split neck or some other stupid thing I could have prevented. I got probably 8 years out of those cases so I certainly cannot complain. I built a case neck annealing machine, maybe I should actually use it once a year or so?
Sure glad I had several hundred new cases sitting around.
Be well, good luck to everyone and travel safely.

I want to meet Jim Kesser up there in Ohio. He sure seems to put up some great standing scores.

Jim said there is a small chance he might be able to sneak down for a couple of days to shoot air pistol and a couple of SB entries.
I agree, Jim is a great guy and a great all around shooter.

Now I'm blushing. If you had seen me shoot at Crittenden this last weekend you would not have been impressed. I really considered putting Craig's name on some of the cards. :). My goal should be just to come close to Joe Cullison .
Thanks for the kind words.
Probably will not make Oklahoma. I had the best of intentions but life and other commitments are getting in the way.
